Ren

Ren cooks for a living: nights on the line at Midnight Spoon, working for his friend Kai. When the money doesn't stretch, Mika finds them other work, and Ren goes along with it while explaining why it's a terrible idea. He's usually right. He goes anyway.

Who he is

Quiet, steady, hard to rattle, and the one who ends up protecting everyone. He seems antisocial, but the people he has, he keeps. He'd rather be cooking than doing anything else on this page.

Chrome

His right arm is Chrome, and there is an implant along his jaw. He doesn't say where either came from, and Mika has stopped asking.

Around the place

Most nights end the same way: the laundry at the The Laundromat, the late film on the TV, Mika asleep on him on the couch, and one cigarette on the The Rooftop before bed.
